Independent contractors • Monthly EUR invoices

Get paid in USDC or USDT as a contractor

Keep your monthly client invoices in EUR and receive eligible payments as USDC or USDT in your own wallet. Your European client pays by SEPA from their bank account, using the invoice approval and payment process they already know.

The challenge

You want stablecoins. Your client works with EUR invoices.

You work independently for European clients on an ongoing basis: software development, design, marketing or consulting. Each month, you send an invoice and the client approves it for a EUR bank transfer. Asking their finance team to open a crypto account or buy stablecoins would add a new process.

EurusPay lets you keep that commercial relationship in EUR while receiving the resulting funds in your compatible wallet. Once your client has your approved beneficiary details, they can continue with their usual invoice approval and SEPA payment workflow.

The EurusPay approach

Monthly EUR fees, automatic USDC or USDT payout

Eligible independent contractors can complete account verification, obtain European payment details and configure a compatible wallet with a supported USDC or USDT payout network. Use the account type matching the person or company that provides the service and issues the invoices.

Your client pays your invoice in EUR to the beneficiary name, IBAN and payment reference shown in EurusPay. EurusPay processes the eligible receipt, converts it and sends the resulting stablecoins to your configured wallet.

The client does not have to buy crypto, manage a blockchain network or create a wallet. Your agreed fee remains denominated in EUR; conversion and applicable fees determine the amount of USDC or USDT received. Learn about European IBANs for non-EU freelancers.

Example

Example: a €4,000 monthly development engagement

Illustrative scenario: an independent developer in Colombia provides ongoing development services to a German software company for a fixed €4,000 monthly fee. The agreement describes the services, billing period and payment terms. The developer wants to receive USDT.

  1. Set up before the first payment. The developer completes verification, configures a compatible USDT wallet and gives the client's finance team the approved EurusPay beneficiary details.
  2. Issue the monthly EUR invoice. The invoice states €4,000, the service period, the agreed development services and the applicable payment reference. The developer keeps the agreement and work records available.
  3. The client follows its usual process. The company approves the invoice and sends €4,000 by SEPA from its business bank account. Its finance team does not interact with crypto.
  4. Receive the wallet payout. EurusPay processes the eligible payment, converts it and sends the resulting USDT to the developer's configured wallet. A €4,000 invoice does not mean a payout of 4,000 USDT.
  5. Repeat for the next service month. The developer issues the next invoice with the correct billing period and current payment instructions. The client initiates another SEPA payment. Records connect each EUR invoice with its payment and stablecoin payout.

The example assumes an eligible account and payment. Additional information may be requested for a review. For hourly or variable work, invoice the actual agreed amount and retain the corresponding timesheet or delivery record.

Why it helps

A practical way to receive ongoing contractor income

  • Keep the agreed EUR fee: your client can approve a familiar invoice without managing crypto prices or wallet addresses.
  • Choose USDC or USDT: select a supported asset and network for your compatible wallet.
  • Fewer manual steps: eligible receipts are converted and paid out without a separate exchange deposit and withdrawal workflow.
  • Clear monthly records: identify each service period, invoice and client payment in your own records.
  • Access your income from your wallet: use the received stablecoins with compatible recipients and providers.

SEPA Instant typically takes about two minutes from sending to wallet arrival. With standard SEPA, the two minutes start when the payment reaches the receiving bank. Reviews, banking incidents or network delays can extend processing. See SEPA-to-wallet transfer times.

How it works

Set up your monthly client payment flow

  1. Create and verify your account for your independent service activity.
  2. Configure your wallet and check support for the exact token and network.
  3. Update the client's supplier details with the approved beneficiary name and IBAN shown in your account.
  4. Invoice each billing period in EUR and follow the payment-reference instructions for that invoice.
  5. Let your client pay by SEPA and receive the eligible amount as USDC or USDT after processing and conversion.
Before you start

Account verification and records for ongoing work

Availability depends on your country, activity and account type. Contractors invoicing in their own name complete the applicable personal verification; a registered company uses the business flow and KYB. The invoice issuer, account holder and payout wallet should be consistent with the approved setup.

Keep the service agreement, invoices and relevant delivery or time records. Supporting documents are not required before every payment; provide them if requested. For a payment from someone other than the contracting client, be ready to explain the relationship. Read the third-party payment requirements.

Check the applicable fees and conversion details. Each recurring payment is initiated by your client. For help preparing invoices, see how to invoice a European client in EUR. If you operate an agency, explore European client payments for agencies.

Questions

Getting paid in stablecoins as a contractor: FAQ

Can my client pay EUR while I receive USDC or USDT?

Yes, for eligible accounts and payments. Your client sends EUR by SEPA using the approved payment details. EurusPay processes and converts the receipt, then sends USDC or USDT to your configured compatible wallet.

Can I use this for monthly fees from the same client?

Yes. Genuine ongoing service fees can be invoiced monthly in EUR. Identify the service period and follow the payment-reference instructions for each invoice. Your client initiates each SEPA transfer; EurusPay does not automatically charge the client through this flow.

Does my client need a crypto account or wallet?

No. They update your supplier payment details as needed, approve your EUR invoices and pay from their bank using SEPA. You configure the stablecoin and destination wallet on your side.

Will the stablecoin amount be the same every month?

Not necessarily. Even if your EUR fee stays the same, the resulting USDC or USDT amount depends on the applicable EUR conversion rate and fees at processing. Keep the invoice and payout records for each month.

Keep invoicing in EUR. Receive your fees in your wallet.

Set up your EurusPay account and let your European clients continue paying by SEPA while you receive USDC or USDT.
