If you work with customers in Europe, the easiest invoice for the customer is usually an invoice in EUR with familiar European payment instructions. The challenge for freelancers and companies outside the EU is receiving that payment without relying on a slow international wire or asking the customer to pay with crypto.

This guide explains the practical workflow: create a genuine EUR invoice, provide the correct European IBAN and payment reference, let the customer pay by SEPA and reconcile the approved stablecoin payout. USDC and USDT are presented only as possible payout options, subject to availability and network support.

How an EUR invoice becomes a stablecoin payout

The customer-facing side remains a normal European supplier payment. You issue the invoice in EUR and provide the beneficiary name, IBAN and payment reference activated for your approved EurusPay account. Your customer initiates a SEPA transfer from its bank account and does not need a wallet, exchange account or stablecoin balance.

After the transfer arrives, it is matched to the payment and reviewed. Once approved for processing, the amount is converted and the resulting payout is sent as the supported stablecoin selected for the compatible wallet and network. Depending on availability, this may be USDC or USDT.

What to include on an invoice for a European client

An invoice should make the commercial relationship and payment purpose clear. Exact legal and tax requirements depend on the countries and entities involved, so obtain professional advice where required. As a practical starting point, include:

Illustrative payment block

Amount due: EUR 3,200.00

Beneficiary: Use the exact approved name shown in EurusPay

IBAN: Use the European IBAN shown for the approved payment flow

Reference: Use the exact invoice or payment reference provided

Do not copy example bank details from a guide. Always use the current instructions displayed in your account.

Why the payment reference matters

The reference connects the incoming SEPA transfer with the correct invoice or payment request. Ask the customer to copy it exactly. A missing or incorrect reference can require manual review and may delay matching.

Choose the account type that matches the invoice

The account holder, invoice issuer, beneficiary and wallet owner should reflect the genuine contracting party. Do not route company revenue through a founder's personal account or invoice personally for a contract held by a company.

From an EUR invoice to a stablecoin payout

  1. Create the correct EurusPay account. Choose personal or business onboarding based on the contracting party that issues the invoice.
  2. Complete verification. Provide the requested identity or company information and describe the expected customer-payment activity.
  3. Add a compatible wallet. Choose an available payout option—USDC or USDT—and a token and blockchain network supported by both EurusPay and the receiving wallet.
  4. Review the activated payment instructions. Confirm the beneficiary name, European IBAN, reference rules, limits, fees and other conditions displayed for the account.
  5. Create the EUR invoice. Include the genuine customer, service, amount, due date and exact payment details.
  6. Send the invoice and payment instructions. Make clear that the customer pays EUR by SEPA and does not need to use cryptocurrency.
  7. The customer initiates the bank transfer. The sender should use the correct account, amount and reference.
  8. The transfer is matched and reviewed. Supporting documents may be requested before a payment can be processed.
  9. Receive the supported stablecoin in the approved wallet. After conversion and processing, the resulting payout is sent on the supported network selected for the transaction.

Does the customer pay in stablecoins directly?

The EurusPay invoicing flow described here is designed for a customer who pays EUR through the banking system while the recipient receives a supported stablecoin payout. It is not a general crypto checkout and the customer does not send USDC or USDT directly.

How to reconcile the invoice, SEPA transfer and stablecoin payout

Good records make the flow easier to explain to customers, accountants and compliance teams. Retain the following information together:

Wallet and network checks

USDC and USDT can exist on multiple networks. Confirm the exact token and network in both EurusPay and the receiving wallet before processing the payout. Do not assume compatibility from the wallet address alone. Blockchain transfers are generally irreversible.

Fees and processing time

Review the current plan, applicable per-payment fee, conversion information and expected processing details shown by EurusPay before using the service. Timing can be affected by the sender's bank, SEPA settlement, payment matching, compliance review and blockchain conditions. Avoid placing an old fee or guaranteed completion time on invoices or marketing material.

EUR invoicing and stablecoin payout FAQ

Does my European customer need a crypto wallet?

No. The customer pays a EUR invoice by SEPA from its bank account. The stablecoin step happens on the recipient side after the incoming payment has been approved for processing.

Can I invoice in EUR if I live outside the EU?

Freelancers and companies outside the EU can agree commercial prices in EUR. Access to EurusPay's payment flow depends on supported countries, activities and successful verification. Invoice, tax and registration obligations remain subject to the relevant jurisdictions.

Do I receive EUR in a normal bank balance?

This guide describes a collection and settlement flow: the customer sends EUR for an eligible payment and EurusPay processes the resulting stablecoin payout. Do not assume the product includes every feature of a conventional current account.

Can I choose USDC or USDT for the payout?

Where available, EurusPay can process the approved payout in USDC or USDT. Choose the exact supported asset and network that matches your wallet and treasury requirements.

What documents might be requested?

Depending on the account and transaction, this can include identity or company documents, ownership information, an invoice, customer details, a contract, service evidence, expected activity and source-of-funds information.
