The challenge

Your company operates on-chain. Your European clients often do not.

Web3 companies may build blockchain infrastructure, develop protocols, audit smart contracts, provide token engineering, run developer tooling or deliver consulting and creative services. Their treasury may operate in stablecoins, while European customers still purchase services through conventional procurement and accounts-payable processes.

A client may be able to approve a normal EUR invoice but unable to purchase USDC or USDT, select a blockchain network or authorize a wallet transfer. Asking the customer to adopt a crypto payment process can delay vendor onboarding or prevent the engagement from moving forward.

Receiving euros through a separate bank and then transferring them to an exchange also creates extra fees, accounts and reconciliation steps. EurusPay connects the client’s familiar SEPA payment with settlement to an approved company wallet.

The EurusPay approach

EUR invoices for the client, stablecoin settlement for your Web3 treasury

Eligible Web3 companies outside the EU can apply for a EurusPay business account, complete KYB and connect a compatible company-controlled wallet. After approval, the account displays the European beneficiary details, IBAN and payment-reference instructions available for eligible transactions.

Your company issues a genuine EUR invoice for documented products or services. The European customer pays by SEPA from its ordinary business bank account. The payer does not need a wallet, exchange account, stablecoin balance or blockchain knowledge.

After the incoming payment has been received, matched to the commercial transaction and passed the required checks, EurusPay converts the eligible amount and processes the resulting USDC or USDT payout to the approved company wallet on a supported network.

This flow is intended for genuine customer revenue. It is not designed for token-sale proceeds, investments, capital contributions, treasury transfers between related entities, exchange withdrawals or unrelated third-party funds unless EurusPay has explicitly approved the specific transaction type.

Clear product scope: EurusPay is not a crypto payment gateway or a general-purpose business bank account. It provides an eligible EUR-to-stablecoin payment flow for documented customer invoices.

Example

Example: a Web3 development company invoices a European customer

Illustrative scenario: an eligible blockchain development company outside the EU builds a smart-contract integration for a software company in Germany. The agreed project fee is €18,000, payable in two milestones.

  1. The Web3 company completes KYB. It provides incorporation, ownership, representative and business-activity information and connects an approved company wallet.
  2. The parties document the engagement. The service agreement describes the integration, deliverables, milestones, acceptance process and EUR payment terms.
  3. The supplier issues the first EUR invoice. The €9,000 milestone invoice identifies the German customer, describes the work and includes the exact beneficiary details and reference shown in EurusPay.
  4. The client pays by SEPA. Its finance team approves the invoice and sends euros from the company bank account without interacting with crypto.
  5. EurusPay reviews and processes the payment. The transfer is matched to the approved company and documented engagement. Additional evidence may be requested where required.
  6. The Web3 company receives stablecoins. Following conversion, the resulting USDC or USDT is sent to the approved company wallet.

The final stablecoin amount depends on the applicable conversion rate and fees. A €9,000 invoice does not necessarily result in exactly 9,000 USDC or USDT.

Why it helps

A payment flow that works for both finance teams and on-chain companies

  • Familiar payment method for European customers. The client pays a conventional EUR supplier invoice by SEPA.
  • No crypto setup for the payer. The customer does not need an exchange account, wallet or stablecoin balance.
  • European payment details after approval. Use the beneficiary name, IBAN and reference shown for eligible payments.
  • USDC or USDT settlement. Receive the processed value in an approved company wallet using an available token and supported network.
  • Business-level verification. Align the legal entity, invoice issuer, payment recipient and wallet with the approved KYB profile.
  • Cleaner reconciliation. Connect the contract, invoice, payer, EUR transfer, conversion and wallet payout.
  • Suitable for documented Web3 and software services. The flow may support eligible development projects, milestone invoices, maintenance agreements, monthly development retainers, infrastructure, security, consulting and design work.
  • Fewer operational steps. Avoid a separate receive-fund-exchange-buy-withdraw workflow for every customer invoice.
  • Documented larger invoices. Larger documented B2B invoices may be considered subject to KYB, transaction review, source-of-funds checks and applicable limits.
How it works

How a Web3 company receives European client payments with EurusPay

  1. Create a business account. Register the legal entity that signs the customer contract and issues the invoice.
  2. Complete KYB. Provide the requested incorporation, registered-address, director, representative, beneficial-owner and ownership information.
  3. Explain the Web3 business model. Describe the product or service, customer types, expected payment sizes and jurisdictions, and how the company uses stablecoins.
  4. Connect a company-controlled wallet. Choose an available USDC or USDT option and a network supported by EurusPay and the receiving wallet.
  5. Document the customer relationship. Keep the contract, statement of work, milestones, delivery evidence and other relevant commercial records.
  6. Issue a genuine EUR invoice. Identify the correct legal entities, service, amount and payment terms and use the exact payment instructions shown in the account.
  7. Let the customer pay by SEPA. The European client sends euros from its bank account using the required beneficiary and reference.
  8. Receive the wallet payout. After matching, review and conversion, the resulting stablecoins are sent to the approved company wallet.

Before you start

KYB, transaction purpose and documentation requirements

Eligible legal entity: Availability depends on the company’s jurisdiction, legal form, ownership, products, services, customers, transaction profile and compliance review. Approval is not automatic.

Clear business activity: Web3 companies should be able to explain what they build or deliver, how they earn revenue, who their customers are and why the incoming EUR payment belongs to the verified business.

Corporate documentation: EurusPay may request incorporation records, registered-address evidence, directors, authorised representatives, beneficial owners, ownership structure, website, product information and expected payment volumes.

Commercial evidence: Keep the customer contract, statement of work, invoice, delivery or acceptance evidence and source-of-funds information available. The payer, amount, beneficiary and reference should match the documented transaction.

Approved company wallet: Use a wallet controlled by the verified company and select only an available token and network supported by both EurusPay and the destination wallet.

Payments from an entity other than the contracting customer can require additional evidence or be returned. Review the third-party payment requirements and review process. Confirm eligibility before using EurusPay for token sales, fundraising, investments, intercompany treasury transfers, marketplace proceeds, exchange withdrawals, staking revenue or other payment types that differ from direct customer invoices.

For conventional software development projects and recurring engineering contracts, see European client payments for software companies.

Questions

European payments for Web3 companies: FAQ

Can a European customer pay in EUR while our Web3 company receives USDC or USDT?

Yes, for an eligible company and approved customer payment. The client pays a genuine EUR invoice by SEPA. After receipt, matching, review and conversion, EurusPay processes the resulting USDC or USDT payout to the approved company wallet.

Does our customer need a crypto wallet or exchange account?

No. The European customer pays from its normal bank account in euros using the approved beneficiary, IBAN and payment reference. The stablecoin and wallet steps take place on the recipient company’s side.

Can we use this flow for token sales or investment proceeds?

Do not assume token-sale proceeds, investments, capital contributions or treasury transfers are eligible. This page describes documented customer payments for genuine products or services. Confirm any different transaction type with EurusPay before sharing payment details.

What documents should a Web3 company retain?

Keep company and ownership records, the customer contract or statement of work, invoices, delivery or acceptance evidence, payer information, payment records and wallet-payout records. Additional information may be requested during onboarding or transaction review.
