The challenge

Software delivery is international. Client payment processes are still local.

A software company outside Europe may build a new platform for a German customer, deliver an integration for a French enterprise or maintain an application for a Dutch client. The work can be remote and global, but the customer’s finance team usually expects a conventional EUR contract, supplier invoice, IBAN and payment reference.

Development projects often involve deposits, milestone invoices, acceptance payments and recurring maintenance or development retainers. Asking the customer to purchase stablecoins for every billing event adds a process that its procurement and finance teams may not support.

Receiving EUR through one provider and converting it through another also fragments the records for the contract, invoice, bank payment and company wallet. EurusPay connects the familiar European payment process with settlement to an approved business wallet.

The EurusPay approach

EUR project invoices for the client, stablecoin settlement for your company

Eligible software companies outside the EU can apply for a EurusPay business account, complete KYB and connect a compatible company-controlled wallet. After approval, the account displays the European beneficiary details, IBAN and payment-reference instructions available for eligible transactions.

Your company invoices the European customer in EUR for documented development work. The client pays by SEPA from its normal business bank account and does not need a wallet, exchange account or stablecoin balance.

After an incoming payment has been received, matched to the contract and invoice and passed the required checks, EurusPay converts the eligible amount and processes the resulting USDC or USDT payout to the approved company wallet.

The flow can support eligible development projects, milestone invoices, maintenance agreements and monthly development retainers. Larger documented B2B invoices may be considered, subject to company KYB, transaction review, source-of-funds checks and the applicable limits shown or confirmed for the account.

See the broader European business IBAN for non-EU companies and how companies can receive business payments in USDC or USDT.

Example

Example: a development project with milestones and monthly maintenance

Illustrative scenario: an eligible software company outside the EU develops a customer portal for a European logistics business. The contract sets a €40,000 project fee billed in four €10,000 milestones, followed by a €3,000 monthly maintenance and development retainer.

  1. The software company completes KYB. It provides the requested incorporation, ownership, representative and business-activity information and connects an approved company wallet.
  2. The parties sign a development agreement. The contract identifies the scope, deliverables, milestones, acceptance process, maintenance services and EUR payment terms.
  3. The supplier issues a milestone invoice. Each invoice identifies the completed stage and includes the exact beneficiary details and reference shown in EurusPay.
  4. The client pays by SEPA. Its finance team approves the EUR invoice and pays from the customer’s business bank account without interacting with crypto.
  5. The payment is reviewed and processed. EurusPay matches the transfer to the approved company and documented project. Supporting information may be requested where required.
  6. The company receives stablecoins. Following conversion, the resulting USDC or USDT is sent to the approved company wallet.
  7. Monthly maintenance begins. The software company issues a separate €3,000 invoice for each service period and retains the corresponding support or delivery records.

The amounts are illustrative and do not imply a guaranteed account limit or approval. The final stablecoin payout depends on the applicable conversion rate and fees.

Why it helps

A payment flow for software projects and recurring engineering work

  • Development projects. Invoice eligible software builds, integrations, migrations and engineering engagements in EUR.
  • Milestone invoices. Connect deposits, delivery stages and acceptance payments with the relevant contract and project evidence.
  • Maintenance agreements. Bill recurring support, hosting-related services, updates and ongoing technical maintenance.
  • Monthly development retainers. Invoice a defined service period for reserved engineering capacity or continuing product work.
  • Suitable for documented B2B payments. Larger project and recurring-service invoices may be considered subject to KYB, review and applicable limits.
  • Familiar for European clients. The payer settles a conventional EUR supplier invoice through its existing SEPA process.
  • USDC or USDT payout. Receive the processed value in an approved compatible company wallet using an available token and supported network.
  • Clearer reconciliation. Connect the customer, contract, milestone, invoice, payment reference and resulting wallet payout.
How it works

How software companies receive European client payments with EurusPay

  1. Create a business account. Register the legal entity that signs customer contracts, issues invoices and owns the payout wallet.
  2. Complete KYB. Provide the requested company, registered-address, representative, director, beneficial-owner and ownership information.
  3. Describe the software business. Explain the products or services, customer types, contract structure, typical invoice sizes and expected payment frequency.
  4. Connect a company-controlled wallet. Choose an available USDC or USDT option and a supported network compatible with the receiving wallet.
  5. Document the engagement. Keep the master service agreement, statement of work, milestones, acceptance criteria and maintenance or retainer terms.
  6. Issue the correct EUR invoice. Identify the customer, service period or project stage, amount and payment terms and use the exact payment instructions shown in the account.
  7. Let the customer pay by SEPA. The European client sends euros from its bank account using the required beneficiary and reference.
  8. Receive the wallet payout. After matching, review and conversion, the resulting stablecoins are sent to the approved company wallet.

Before you start

KYB, contracts and evidence for software payments

Verified legal entity: The EurusPay business account, customer contract, invoice issuer and payout wallet should belong to the approved software company.

Corporate information: EurusPay may request incorporation documents, registered-address evidence, directors, authorised representatives, beneficial owners, ownership information, website, products and expected payment activity.

Development projects and milestones: Keep the signed contract or statement of work, project scope, milestone schedule, invoice and relevant delivery or acceptance evidence.

Maintenance contracts and retainers: Identify the billing period, included services, response or delivery obligations and agreed recurring fee. Retainers must relate to genuine continuing work rather than undocumented transfers.

Larger B2B invoices: Higher amounts may require prior confirmation, source-of-funds information, additional commercial evidence or an enhanced transaction review. Never assume an amount is approved solely because the account has been opened.

If an entity other than the contracting customer sends the payment, additional evidence may be required or the transfer may be returned. Review the third-party payment requirements and review process.

Questions

European payments for software companies: FAQ

Can a European client pay our software invoices in EUR while we receive USDC or USDT?

Yes, for an eligible company and approved payment. The client pays the genuine EUR invoice by SEPA. After receipt, matching, review and conversion, EurusPay processes the resulting USDC or USDT payout to the approved company wallet.

Can we invoice development milestones and monthly retainers?

Eligible payments may cover documented project deposits, development milestones, acceptance invoices, maintenance agreements and monthly development retainers. Identify the relevant stage or service period and retain the corresponding contract and delivery evidence.

Is EurusPay suitable for larger software-project invoices?

Larger documented B2B invoices may be considered, but approval is not automatic. Company KYB, customer information, contract, invoice, source of funds, transaction purpose and applicable account limits can all affect the review.

Does the European customer need a crypto wallet?

No. The client pays from its normal business bank account in euros using the approved beneficiary, IBAN and reference. The stablecoin and wallet steps take place on the recipient company’s side.
